I got this on a recommendation from an acquaintance. I did expect to enjoy it, and ended up loving it! Great characters and witty dialogue, engaging story and stellar voice acting are the first things that come to mind. As a caveat, I’m not sure if it would appeal as much to someone who hasn’t..

Dungeon Crawler Carl is a ton of fun. It’s a hilarious take on the fish out of water theme, and the autor has a terrific understanding of fantasy gaming tropes and where to turn them in their heads.The voice acting is superb. And absolute escapist delight.

The dungeon concept and competition feels lost and I don’t really know the stakes going further or how exactly Carl and donut can stick it to the galactic empire or AI and what motive they have for going forward or anyone does..
