This is a perfectly entertaining book for an afternoon. Honestly, it’s great if you’re not into deeper LitRPG or just want something light to read. However, it does end kind of suddenly in my opinion. I will say, I wanted more of the story, a true conclusion.

Don’t get me wrong, this is an enjoyable series. However, the writing is just not the best, especially in this one. So many things happen during the story that warrant more information, would benefit from explaining what the characters think about it, or seem to just be forgotten by the author a few paragraphs later…

As with the previous book – I just straight binged at the first five – I waited what felt like years for this to come out… And once again Matt Dinniman has not disappointed! This is a great addition to the ongoing, massive story arc of DCC, and it moves all of the plot lines..

Holy. Shit. Matt continues to blow my mind with incredible stories – cannot recommend enough! Jeff Hays’ continues to exceed expectations with his amazing narration! These are the best audiobooks I’ve ever heard, and these stories will live rent free in my head forever.
If nothing else I would give this all 5 stars for that. But it is a good listen and keeps the story going.
