I am listening on audible and my 80 year old dad is ready the hardback book. We are both obsessed. Well written and the characters are interesting.
Regardless if if you know him or enjoy his content or not, his cameo was both jarring and unwanted. The guy’s delivery was 2AM last call levels of sloshed and it sounded like the lines were recorded on a phone. Thankfully it was for one character in one chapter. The silver lining is that it..
Between the author being far too entertaining and the narrator far too talented…. this series has nearly ruined all audio books for me. 12/10
I got this review copy for free but I’m a rather huge Mahou Shoujo fan and listen to a lot of RavensDagger so this would most likely have ended up on my tbr list eventually. Take from that what you will. Opening was fantastic! Sounded like the intro to an anime with sfx, music, acting,..
Jeff Hayes’ performance is amazing. Assuming all the voices are from him, he’s like a human sound machine. If you enjoyed the book, you will love the audio book.

Great books only problem is that I know there are more books. Also happy there are more books, can’t wait to catch up to the story and have to always wonder if it’s the last one or not. Granted I’m certain he’s going the distance.
i hope you like trains. felt like a mild train documentary haha over all good. not as good as the first but better than the second.
