Such a fun listen. So lighthearted and exciting and easy to follow along. So good wish the season was done.
So fun

Such a fun listen. So lighthearted and exciting and easy to follow along. So good wish the season was done.
For anyone that plays/played video games, RPGs, or FPSs, this book is a part nostalgia, part action, and part hilarity. A raunchy and grotesque version of Ready Player One. I couldn’t put this one down, and I’m immediately starting on the next in the series
I initially thought the first book was better. This book was dragging with useless banter at times, and also the MC levels and abilities seem mundane compared to the creatures he was facing. But everything recovered nicely at the very end. I decided to try the 3rd book since it’s currently on sale.
love the adventures of Carl and princess doughnutthe addition have been great cannot wait for the next adventure
Jeff Hayes is the best at narrating and using his voice talents to bring these characters to life! Much praise to Matt Dinniman, too, for creating this world and continuing to build it in ways that satisfy.
The audio performance was stellar. The premise is immediately engrossing. The writing flows and tells the story well. A thoroughly engaging read, whether you believe in God or not!

Recommended by a friend’s husband who’s a DM. Already obsessed. Wish they would reuse the same recordings for some stuff, but God dammit Donut what can you do 🤷
Great performance as per usual but I’m probably going to have to relisten to this book a few times to get the gist of its story which is frustrating to me because for me this was the most boring entry in the series so far. It’s still amazing don’t get me wrong, it just doesn’t..
