I was impressed by how relatable the content was! It was funny, serious, dramatic, and thrilling all in one. I really recommend this audiobook, especially for all the secret nerds out there!
Loved Hays’ ability to differentiate so many different voices, and Dinniman’s sense of humor, and D’s ability to cover sobering, important issues, like friendship, responsibility to others.
My in-laws love the books so much that they got a dog named Carly and a cat named Donut. Also Goddamnit Donut!!!
as i said in the title, the story of this book is already great, but the performance really bring it to a new level. i already read the series and i have to say the performance gave life to every but of this book in ways that just do not come across in reading. although..

As always Soundbooth Theater puts on a great performance. While the first book in this series reads like a magical post apocalyptic survival isekai, this book was more of an isekai with an adventurer’s slice of life. Viv, aka Bob, needs her soul wound fixed and to learn magic. She goes on the occasional adventure..

First time reading a rpg lit but I will be reading the entire series! Great characters and scenes that leave you laughing and wanting more of their dialogue and shenanigans! Team Donut all the way!
Not only is this a delightfully funny and charming story that’s perfect for a gamer who likes to read, but the voice acting is arguable the best I’ve ever heard on an audiobook. If you’re even slightly considering this book, here’s your sign to just get it. I promise it’s worth it.
I got the book partially because it is narrated by Jeff Hayes and it looked funny. I was hoping that it would be similar to another novel he has narrated. It wasn’t. Perhaps if I was back in high school it might seem funny.
