I love everything… seriously. Donut is my all time fave character I wasn’t supposed to enjoy this genre of books but my god….. I sincerely cannot get enough.

The MC is a millennia old skeleton so he’s OP and extremely condescending. The “jokes” are really bad puns that he cackles over and it gets old. I usually don’t notice or care too much about grammar but the grammatical issues are glaring when the MC is some great genius. At the beginning the narrator..
Very much a book without stakes, without consequences , and doesn’t even try to hide it

The production quality of this listen is phenomenal, and the writing may not be elevated prose, but the story is attention grabbing. Even when it feels like it is about to drag, a timely change occurs and the story picks up the pace yet again. Definitely a solid follow up to the first
