Interesting idea, but told in a boring way or distracting way. Very first chapter makes it seem like we are starting the story after his two previous portals, but then we go back to a talk with his sister and start time skipping like crazy. The MC is kinda boring and pessimistic.
For me, this is pretty great. The story slows down a bit once Carl gets to the tutorial, but it’s needed to understand the game. I would have liked it more with a few less F-Bombs, but that’s just me.
I’m obsessed with this series. Please give me the next one. Such an incredible story filled with humor, strength of characters, beautiful world building. The wait for the next one, Will. Not. Break. ME.
I actually read this book and the sequel some time ago. It seems like a cool series and I’m looking forward to reading or listening to the rest of it. I know the author is talented because I loved his other series, A Journey of Black and Red, even though I generally dislike the vampire..
Love it. Downloading the next book meow. Already finding out when the author and narrator are visiting my town this summer.
Yet another spectacular addition to this series, only problem is that it had an end! Can’t wait for the next book lkl

Who would have thought talking cats, sex doll heads, and velociraptors could make me burst out laughing, and then have me tearing up the next moment. I love this series! The narrator is beyond fantastic!
