Well, I have been getting the hardcovers based on the hype and just tried the first audiobook! Jeff Hayes is going into my must listen too narrators. Up there with R.C. Bray, Luke Daniels and Tim Gerard Reynolds. Give it a shot!
Haven’t finished the series yet but this is best one yet! Carl will not be broken. Princess Donut and Mongo are hilarious.

Jeff Hays is amazing! I love all the different voices he does! I can’t wait to listen to book 8!
Hats off to Matt Dinniman, Jeff Hays, and the crew for this amazing, wild ride of a book – they just keep getting better and better and I am both excited and sad to start book 6 knowing there’s only two left before I have to wait for more DCC😭

Overall this was a good story with epic ongoing action and decent world building. I just couldn’t stand the narrator’s attempt at making characters laugh. It became annoying but the Pro’s of the books helped me ignore it enough to get book 5.
