These books are always incredibly funny and clever, this one though really got to me. I think I cried 4 times? What an emotional roller coaster. Though a little crude for some this is the cleanest addiction the human race can have I think. Freaking awesome!!! More laugh out loud from a book ever. Thank you to the author and the narration. Masterful writing and performances!!!

I believe the title of this review says it all. Matt Dinnaman pulls off something I didn’t think was possible. It’s a funny, and a fun ride.
The cast is fun, the fights and banner are also enjoyable. But the MC is trash who doesn’t do anything to get better. He is a washed up almost pro musician who cares more if the girl thinks he is cool vs the skull he just stomped in. He never trys to figure any magic..

this is a very entertaining adventure. A friend at work recommended it highly and I must remember to thank him for that. both Carl and princess donut are truly a treat to follow. I look forward to further adventures.

I do not always get sucked into a book but the author did a great job getting and keeping my attention. Now I’m bingeing the series. The narration hands down makes the book. Well put together and easily one of my favorite series now.

Holy sh*t did I need this levity in my life. The story is so funny I more than once laughed so hard I cried. My children legitimately looked at me concerned.
