In the beginning, it took a while for me to get into the book, but once I sat down and paid attention to the words, it grabbed me to never want to put the book down. It was very well written, and the readers were great. I highly recommend it.

This story has more than one twist. I’m usually fine with just one, but it was an unexpected treat for there to be more than one! Great book.

Very entertaining and poignant. Beautifully read. The structure of using letters to tell the story was clever, but also very effective . I was very moved.

The Correspondent, an epistolary novel, explores the complicated life of retired attorney Sybil Van Antwerp through her exchange of letters with family, friends and a variety of other folks whose lives cross paths with hers. Expertly narrated by a full cast.

It’s like Sybil knew where to pause during the narration so I wouldn’t miss anything while I sobbed.

Maybe This Time feels very much like a prequel to Better Luck Next Time, even though neither book is officially listed as part of a series.
