I’m going out on a limb here: It was unbearably tedious. The format is ambitious, but so very slow-moving. It simply didn’t draw me in – and the ever-present ‘introductions’ to each piece of correspondence (date, to from, etc) is time consuming and distracting. Get to it, already! Loved the writing and the main narrator was a pleasure to listen to. Coping through grief, over a long lifetime was well developed.
The best book I’ve listened to or read in a long time. Excellent character development, compelling story and great narration.
So about half way through the entire book you find out the truth and from there, you can tell pretty much all the cliff hangers. Not a bad read but not my favorite

I saw the ultimate limitations of words and letters as well of the main character’s existence. I can’t forgive her though she said she was sorry so many times. Her selfishness was the core I saw. Her rationalizations were contained in her still selfish and sometimes self-flagellating notes. Those who loved her saw her fear,..
This is one of the best books I have listened to. The voices matched the characters in the book. Wonderful story.
