I had a tough time getting into the story. However, once I listened to couple of chapters I really began to enjoy the wonderful letters, as well as the terrific narration. Will certainly recommend book to others.

Moving and entertaining

I really enjoyed this Audiobook! Great narration and such a moving story of life’s tragedies, how we live with them, and the people affected by family traumas. Such entertaining characters, I found myself laughing out loud and tearing up at times.

Unusual writing style

I wasn’t sure I’d like this book. The writing style is unusual and at first felt like it might be cumbersome with the different people talking. However, this Audible was extremely well done, with many different voices, making it easy to follow the characters. Beautiful and compelling story.

This is not an edge of your seat kind of listen. It moves slowly BUT I disliked and then fell in love with Sybil! I felt like i wanted her to write to me!! I’ve never been a letter writer but this book has made me wish I was!!
