I liked the emotional development of Sybil throughout the story and the idea of a life told through letters. As she was losing her sight, she was gaining a whole new perspective.

Beautiful story and narration. A story of an older woman living with a lot of things and learning to forgive herself. 10/10.

Vastly overrated. Letter format feels forced and unnecessary. Nothing much happens. Characters are underdeveloped and uninteresting. Boring even at 2x speed.

I listened to this on audible and made my hubby listen too. We were both sucked in. We were on a road trip and still had 2.5 hours left when we got home and we sat and listened to it sitting at home. The ending was good! Will probably listen to it again.

This is my first time listening to this author, I’m hooked. Each chapter just kept the suspense moving along at a good pace. I will read more of her books.

Thoroughly enjoyed learning about Sybils life through her letters, both writte by her and responded to by various characters. The audible reading in different voices was an added dimension. Detailed, unpredictable, and heartfelt.

I laughed, I cried, I looked longingly at my past; all I’ve done, all I didn’t do. This story touched so many parts of my life that I simply cannot enumerate.
