I know I’m in the minority, but I found this book quite boring until about 2/3rds in. It was OK, surprised by the hype.
I was skeptical of this book. The idea of a story told through letters and different narrators. I don’t usually like audiobooks that have different readers but it worked so well for this book. The letters made this book so intimate and personal. Absolutely enjoyed it. Made me want to write a letter.
My heart was truly touched and felt such deep emotion at the end. So well written and truly the celebration of life and an art so lost in today’s world sometimes.
This was an absolutely captivating and thoughtful story told through letters. The narration beautifully cast. It makes me want to go find my stationary.
The voices were well performed. It’s easy to see yourself in someone else’s shoes. I felt a combo of voyeur and subject. It’s a fun read for readers. Got my next book recommendation from this book.
Draws you in and causes you to live in the letters! Wonderfully written and read! I didn’t want it to end.
Perhaps the best audiobook I’ve ever listened to. The story was compelling and poignant, and the narrators were top notch. Highly recommend.
Self centered old women’s regrets , certainly nothing that would help any mood.. in her life , she was a pompous self centered person who Karma returned its favor every day. The readers were excellent. Story not so much …
Parts dragged, other sections were heartfelt…it was alright. Interesting premise. At times, having so many different voices was distracting.
