I enjoyed this book, even though I didn’t like the protagonist very much. Lots of great life lessons in this novel, and the epistolary style kept it interesting. It did leave me with a guilt trip about how little I actually write anymore. Overall, I liked this book but not as much as I thought..

Sybil is an unlikable character so the entire novel rings false to me. Perhaps we’re meant to have sympathy for her as she lost a child years before, or perhaps because she is going blind, but I cannot conceive why people are fond of her or why men seek her out romantically in her 70’s…

A Beautiful Story
Review from The Correspondent →
A beautiful story of a remarkable woman told through her letters with various friends, family, colleagues, and a few surprising individuals. Her disarming honesty and child-like curiosity make it so even her greatest enemy can’t hate her. In a world where most of us rely on technology to fire off a quick text or post..
Great Book

It caught my attention at the book store but once I saw it on Audible I couldn’t resist myself. It’s amazing how can you know a woman from the letters she writes, her demeanor towards others, her rights and wrongs, it kind of makes you reflect on the things you take from others you think..
Beautiful story!
