Good, but not as good as its hype

Review from The Correspondent →

I enjoyed this book, even though I didn’t like the protagonist very much. Lots of great life lessons in this novel, and the epistolary style kept it interesting. It did leave me with a guilt trip about how little I actually write anymore. Overall, I liked this book but not as much as I thought..

Correspondences of an awful woman

Review from The Correspondent →

Sybil is an unlikable character so the entire novel rings false to me. Perhaps we’re meant to have sympathy for her as she lost a child years before, or perhaps because she is going blind, but I cannot conceive why people are fond of her or why men seek her out romantically in her 70’s…

The story

Review from The Correspondent →

Loved it

Absolutely love the story. Great concept using the letters to learn about each of the characters. I loved that each character had a different narrator. Great story about looking back at life in the later years.

Great Book

Review from The Correspondent →

I was reticent in listening to this book because it was a different format than I was accustomed to. I am thrilled that I did, and it will stay with me for a long time.

Beautiful story!

Review from The Correspondent →

Absolutely loved the unique format of this story & how it was told through letters written by Sybil. Fascinating, & listening by Audible truly made it come to life! Haven’t come across a book I loved this much in quite awhile. Sorry it ended.
