I loved the format of the book—narrated letters over the period of time—and the story of many people’s lives were compelling and believable.
Maybe it’s because this book came so highly recommended, but I was pretty disappointed. I felt it was very slow leading up to the ending.
Sweet, entertaining and thoughtful. As a fan of the dying art of correspondence; it was a pleasure listening to Sybil’s life story unfold through her own correspondence and opinions and perspectives. She touched so many and so deeply yet her grief shadowed her ability to see through the darkness and allow herself forgiveness. I wept..
At first I was not drawn into this novel as I found myself not liking the main character. But its story line slowly changed and I found myself enjoying the format with which it was written, along with the long line of characters. There were many people narrating all the different characters which I also..
This is an incredible story of letters spanning over years of relationships with different people. My initial concern was how i would be able to follow so many people’s stories, but it was easy and so good how the stories an letters intertwined themselves. This will be a book I’ll come back to multiple times..
Wow, my emotions were everywhere! If you looking to read something that should make you think of how you’re living your own life, this book is for you! The time we have here on earth is precious, and this book will open your eyes!
This was a great book!! It really shows you relationships can be a storm. You have you Sunny and bright all is right days. You have your fair weather days. Then, there are those life ending, hurricane days. I love how it all gets pulled back to the Sunny and bright all has been made..
I haven’t found a book this juicy in a while. I love when a book makes me react emotionally rather it’s gripping for more information or on the edge of my seat. This book gave me that. Definitely recommend
