The women were whiney and submissive. I could not listen to the whole book. It was to unrealistic. Mad me mad these girls could not stand up for themselves or tell someone NO.

I have the physical copy at home and there are certain sections. The audio narrators left out. This is a phenomenal book would recommend it to anyone and everyone ready and willing to open up their mind and their hearts.
An incredible view into the life of Sasha (Alexander), Ann Shulgin and the people who supported their efforts. This is a must read for those fascinated by the chemistry of psychedelics and personal exploration. The book combines scientific insights with the Shulgins’ experiences, offering a captivating narrative. It serves as a valuable resource for understanding..
The story had so much potential but it fell flat. The world building was great and I felt compelled to learn more about the characters, but it just delve deeply enough for me to end up caring for anyone. Felt unfinished…
I absolutely loved the mother daughter relationship. I can’t wait to see what’s next for the Carpenter Women!
This book has it all. Romance, community drama, friendship, but best of all was the humor. I have not read a book so well written with humor in a very long time. Great writing and the narrator did a fabulous job.
The chemistry and unfolding love story between Anne& Shurra is full of nuance, humor and so interesting.
Enjoyable, throughly entertaining and Aunty Agnes is the best of the lot. Also the food makes one hungry.
I enjoyed the pirate story part, though it was rather sanitized IMO. But the more modern day segments were boring and predictable. Daddy issues and gay panic reiterated over and over and over again. Descriptions of things repeated over and over again. Felt like she was trying to pad out the book and the pay..
