I listened to this book almost straight through. The characters, the story, all heart wrenching and real but sweet and humorous at times too.
Wow. Loved this book!

I listened to this book almost straight through. The characters, the story, all heart wrenching and real but sweet and humorous at times too.
I enjoyed not knowing who would appear next and what part of the story they would hold. A pretty slow paced read.
I needed a break from my usual style of books; crime, murder, suspense, etc, and I was very happy with this nice break. The narration is perfection and the story is lovely. It made me cry, smile and cherish life a little harder.
What a great story! The narrators were among the best I’ve ever heard. They truly add to the author’s written word. This book has encouraged me to start writing letters more. To quote Sybil… this book moved me!
The book changed my view of written correspondence and the greater impact it can have on people’s lives than the faster electronic exchange of words.

Loved the story, love the characters. LOVED how eloquent Sybil wrote her letters and emails. I felt I was always learning something new about the characters, their stories, and how the intertwined into Sybil’s life. Voice actors were fantastic and represented the characters well. I would definitely recommend this listen!
I loved the concept of telling the story of a woman’s life through the letters she wrote and received. The characters were so real. I loved the execution of the concept too. I was gripped from beginning to end. Will look for more from this author.
I loved the main character so much! She was complicated—sensitive and sharp edged, down to earth and well heeled, judgmental and kind. She’s someone I’d want to know but may be a little intimidated by. I laughed out loud and cried for her. Such a beautifully written book! A new favorite for sure. I’ve already..
