This was a fantastic book and the readers added to the experience- so often I am distracted by the readers but these readers became part of the story for me!

Listening to this book was like watching a play. It was so beautiful and moving and vivid.

10/10- this won’t be my last book of 2025, but it will be among my top reads!

I wanted more of the details about the life lived between the letters, but that is the mastering of the author at play: she gives you *just* enough to experience the depth of this life lived. I loved it so much- it’s been my favorite read this year. I plan to add a hard copy..

I enjoyed this story told through correspondence and all of the actors performed their readings most excellently.

A book I really enjoyed. Great writing and good performances. Stunning layers of life dissected.

Loved this book so much. Assorted narrators gave the wonderful story so much life. Absolutely recommend listening to this one.

I walked into this blind, having no idea what I was in for, and boy, what a wonderful surprise… one that had me laughing, and crying in turn. What a beautifully written book told in epistolary format.

I want to send this to all the readers in my world. This was the most moving experience, for me, it was a gift.
