What an unexpectedly hypnotic novel and dramatized narration! Beautifully melancholy and nostalgic in its history and memories of an old woman and her lifetime. I found myself unconsciously filling in the gaps between letters in my mind, and Sybil’s story is a rich one. Definitely a favorite!

Honestly I didn’t know if I would like it but after a few minutes of just listening to it I was hooked and I let my friends and family know to definitely check this book out

The characters were wonderful . Surprising story developments, very touching relationships. The protagonist is not very pleasant in many ways but you grow to love her.

I was not expecting to be so emotionally moved. Oh how letters can capture the life and lives we live in a way nothing else can.

I loved the narration of the book! I also really loved the story it was like a witchy mystery and I loved that. The end got a little slow for me but overall I loved the book!

I loved all of it, including each voice. Very well done. I look forward to more by this author.

Although I could not relate to Cybil’s exact life experiences, the novel took me places and made me reflect in ways I didn’t expect. The writing is brilliant. The narration here is exceptional. And I can’t stop thinking about this book!
