So many characters. Secrets long buried. Perhaps more difficult to sort the pieces in an audiobook, but complex like life. Rich and rewarding. The different readers were very helpful and added to the special artistry that listening to a book can provide.

Interesting people she wrote to. Her selfish life, yet keeping herself busy with caring about others lives. My favorite was her helping Herold when he had no where to go and rescued him from his school and his bad home situation. Interested in each other’s good qualities. Other than that she was really quite selfish.

I LOVED the voices of the narrator and all of the characters in this audible book as well as the depth, transparency and laugh out loud dry humor of the descriptiveness of the story that transported you to Sybil’s home and surroundings from wherever she wrote.
