I am glad there was a character with holocaust memory. Wouldn’t sit well without it.

I liked the premise of the book and slowly peeling away Sybil’s layers to better understand how her perceived abandonment, loss, unfathomable grief, internalized guilt and shame all contributed in creating a multifaceted woman. wow, I laughed, cried, felt. This was perfection. Never had an audiobook experience like it.

I loved learning about Sybill’s life through her letters. It was deep. It was sweet. It was funny. It was sad. Just like life, I guess.

I loved this book and am glad I listened to it rather than read it on paper. The voice actors did a great job bringing it to life. It was funny, smart and heartwarming and I was definitely sad when it ending and wished for more.

I really enjoyed, not only the story,but the way it was told. The correspondence wasn’t just a writing device but had actually meaning to the story and for the character.
