In this book written as letters, each voice was distinct. Beautiful story, one that I appreciate as I am older more than I would have ( I think) as a younger person,
Excellent narration

I’m liked the creativity of the story & the character development through letter writing. It was a gem of a book.
This book was wonderful a great narrative into someone’s life in the trouble love the new start in the redemption
Not my typical read but Sybil Van Antwerp is not a typical character. You come away from this book feeling as if you personally know Sybil and everyone she writes to.Such a great read/listen, when available I’ll read and listen to the book. The narration was excellent!! My first Virginia Evan’s book hopefully she’ll have..
The audio is marvelous! There are many characters to follow but all have different voices which helps greatly.
Crusty old broad who knows how to run the room. Fascinating story of a professional woman any of us (women over 60) could become or already are. She’s so not perfect— yet is. I couldn’t put it down.
At first the letter writing format seems strange but then you really get into the style. Loved the story. Portrays how life can knock you down but you just get up and keep going.
I wasn’t sure with the format and multiple narrators at first, but grew to appreciate the characters and the narrators were all fantastic. The way the story spans a handful of years but also a lifetime is very well done, and there is deep character development but it is so well restrained
The Correspondent” has truly been the best book I have listened to this year. It is filled with so much emotion—pain, joy, sadness, and moments of pure honesty. It touched me deeply and in ways I did not expect. I found myself identifying with several of the stories, It kept me completely engaged, always eager..
