Was very moved by the unfolding depth. The form was interesting and original as well. Tied up a bit too neatly at the end – I think it could have ended with her final letter to Gilbert, but I very much enjoyed Sybil’s character

Masterful novel in its creativity & story line. I wept the last 20 minutes of the novel. Who would have thought a book written through the lens of letters & texts could be so powerful, moving & eloquent.

This was a book that left me pondering my own relationships. The use of letters to slowly reveal the personality and life events of the main character, Sybil, was effective and different. I thought about returning this book several times. All that reading of the same full addresses over and over was so irritating.

I’m glad I listened to the audio version. It was very well done. The story and narration were a true delight.

This book was a breath of fresh air in this genre with both the male and female protagonist having great character development. The humour was great and well timed and I found myself smiling all the way through. I was a skeptic but Cara Bastone pulled it off without a hitch.
