Enjoyed listening to each character read their own letter. This helped to develop each character’s personality. Excellent story of relationships.

The last 3 chapters were great and did tie everything together but WOOF painful to get there

I understand that this character driven story needs to go at a slow pace. Due to the protagonist’s age and the lack of ever dealing with grief and pain during her lifetime, the writing needs to float along, in order for the character to fully reveal herself. Due to this slow walk, it was hard..

I know I’m in the minority of not liking this book. It was SO slow and boring listening to these old people narrate the correspondence. My mind just kept wondering all over the place except listening to this book. This might have gotten better if I had hung in there, but I just couldn’t,

I thought this book was exceptional. I listened to it and found myself waiting to be able to listen to parts again love the twists in the towns loved the camaraderie between the friends and the friends children. It’s really a good book.

This is a beautifully written story of life, loss, guilt, and forgiveness. It is the kind of story you find yourself musing about in the shower or while doing the mundane tasks of life. I enjoyed it immensely.
