What a beautiful, deeply touching tale. We never know someone fully, do we? We rarely even know ourselves. This book was a surprise on so many levels, from start to finish. And it has spurred me to take up letter writing again! I will wait eagerly for Evans’ next book.

The story unfolds sweetly through a series of letters. There was good character development with each correspondence. The descriptive text placed the listener in the scene along with the characters. A nice read.

Told through letters, cards, and emails between an older woman and the people in her life. She is the Correspondent. Now in her 70’s, can she come to terms with her regrets and mistakes? Beautiful story!

I loved the development of character through the lens of letter writing. The main character enjoys the intimacy of letter writing to develop deep and lasting relationships.

I only reserve 5 stars to books that blow me away but this was excellent. I won’t spoil it for others but the description of the book does now do it justice! Enjoy!

I did not enjoy this book, particularly in audio form. It was tedious, boring, and lacked depth of plot. The character development was ok but overall, this was a read akin to trudging through mud just waiting to find the end of the drudgery.

Loved the format and characters in this book. The end had me in tears and I did not expect what happened. Great book.

This is the best audio book I’ve ever listened to. I highly recommend this lovely book.

Wow! It was an absolute delight to read this book. The narration was incredibly beautiful, and each voice was impeccably matched to the characters. The story was intricately and beautifully woven. It’s been a long time since I have read a book this outstanding. Truly unique!
