The story was just okay. The book never seemed to find a climax. Not sure what purpose the interjecting of a podcast served but the ending was just pointless.
Worst ending ever

Great narrator and wonderful story, told through one women’s letters and emails. I cried at the end.
📖 This story was strong until the chapter near the end that jums forward a year. It felt like the author didn’t know what to do with the story, so she took the cheap route with a time jump. Otherwise, it’s well written and well crafted. 🎧 Great narration by all parties.
Highly recommend this book. It was beautiful and heartbreaking and honest and human. I also loved the readers, all did a wonderful job.
The presentation of this story via letters written over the lifetime of one woman was interesting. I enjoyed the listen and I also found some of the people Sybil exchanged letters with fascinating. However, my concern is in Sybilʼs character development. She could and did give many excuses for the way she treated her daughter..
I loved the story and audio narration was fantastic. The best I have listened to so far! The Sybil narrator was a great match to go with the character and made her real and alive.
Interesting concept, telling a story through letters but it really did just that. I took a while for me to get into it, but I ended up loving it.
The constant repetition of addresses was a bit much at times, but it was key to letting the reader know who was sharing. The story unfolded in pieces in a beautiful way, though. I found the rhythm of it comforting after awhile. It’s a unique way of sharing one’s life that I came to love…
