the format – telling a life through collected correspondence – is not new, but this is a delightful window into a life in autumn. the acting in the reading is excellent- a full cast to dramatize the many writers.

Rarely have I found an audio book that is performed as beautifully as the prose is written. The Correspondent was magnificent in each. I never re-listen to books once finished, but I am strongly considering doing so for this incredible novel and stellar performance.
