5 stars. I loved it. I became invested in Sybil Van Antwerp’s story as it unfolded. I feel as though I knew each character and looked forward to the next letter/email exchange.

Too much of above, otherwise excellent, complex, poignant, Some of the men characters ran together.

I can’t believe how much I’ve loved this book. Period. It makes me want to start writing letters lol. Highly highly recommend.

This is another great immersive book from Cara Bastone! The way she brings people to life is unique and wonderful

So enjoyed the various narrators. Sybil was a hoot in so many ways but the underlying theme was heartbreaking.

At first the main character doubts, and “stiffness” annoyed me a bit, but it’s exactly the point of the story. Slowly you come to know her better, to understand her, as she tries to understand herself in her late years. It is a beautiful narrative, and it forces you to remember there will be a..
