Review from Love, Mom →
Remembering the olden days when all of us corresponded through writing letters and emotions were felt and exposed most of the time..
I sit here crying, re-listening to the last chapter. This book is a beautiful story of the real parts of life, beautiful, difficult and real… A testament to all varieties of love, forgiveness, growth and change. I hope you will savor this book as much as I did.
I hate doing reviews but this book had to do one. I gotta say when I read the title I was like will give it a try. But after listening to the story WOW I LOVED IT!! So many twists and turns and the ending. I couldn’t stop listening to the book. Great book a..
I really enjoyed the way in which this story was written. I was surprised that it held my attention throughout.
Loved the story written through letters very poignant and with simplicity and honest feelings. A Life lived out loud with all its moments expressed through letters.
Listening to this on audible was so amazing that I feel I would’ve missed out on much had I read it instead. The use of the different actors was brilliant. Truly a captivating story told so beautifully.
I loved the writing; realistic and human. The protagonist work vs personal life shows how our society is not allowing us to grieve; work is a way to hide our emotions and that’s dangerous. Imagine if society required leave after a tragic event; the protagonist would have had to face her grief
I absolutely loved this book!! The ending was unexpected and I can usually tell where a book is going. I definitely recommend. A hidden gem!
loved the letter writing, brought back memories of personal correspondence and inspired me to wrire to my very young great nieces who live at a distance away.
