Just when I thought this series couldn’t get any more addictive, The Gate of the Feral Gods takes things to a whole new level. While the stakes with the galactic government and the ‘system’ are higher than ever, the character development is what really shines here. Samantha has officially become my absolute favorite. Watching her development in this book is a total joy, she is hilarious, terrifying, and surprisingly complex. The way the series balances these vibrant characters with nods to classic gaming mechanics (from dungeon-crawling grinds to complex RPG skill trees) keeps me constantly surprised.I honestly never know what to expect next, and I love every second of it!
