What a refreshing story from a female perspective!
Lauren’s tale brought a breath of fresh air to the Post Apocalyptic Genre! The story was well crafted and left me looking forward to the next book in the series. The other characters in the story were well fleshed out and brought a greater depth to the story than some other similar books. I also enjoyed her mother’s viewpoint. It is nice to see strong women portrayed instead of them being cast as secondary characters.
I am hoping that in future books we will learn the Father’s story along with Fred’s and Norman’s.
The only part that confused me a little was that Lauren’s normalcy bias took control over her more frequently than I would have expected based on her previous experiences.
