I taught English for 42 years. I only give this information because it reveals what 5 stars means to me. This novel is A+++++! So clever, so masterfully constructed, so original, and so filled with all the nuances of humanity we each possess but so very rarely examine. I admit I was skeptical when I started because of the uniquely different bent with which this story unfolds. Thank heavens I decided to listen to its entirety. The production is also perfection: all the different voices resonated with their unique “voices.” Thank you Virginia Evans for this beautiful gift of a uniquely human novel! If I were still teaching, this novel would be at the top of my “must teach” books. Bravo and, once again, THANK YOU!
