What did you love best about Drop Team Zero?
I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator. The action is pretty good, keeping you interested when things seem to slow down. The narrator does a good job on giving each character a unique voice, hard to do when aliens are involved. It was nice to see a story where the good guys don’t always win (though they do win more than lose) and there is a good mix of aliens, not just mostly humans.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Drop Team Zero?
I’m not sure if I found any of the moments memorable but they were good. The dialogue and actions of some of the characters really do seem like something a person would do (the politicians ignoring the father of the boy, trying to decide on how they’re going to react to things for example). Everyone, even the aliens, seems to react and talk in a believable way.
Have you listened to any of Andrew B. Wehrlen’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I haven’t listened to Mr. Wehrlen’s work before but his voice and tone worked well with this story. He does a good job keeping your interest going during the slow times, speeding things up when something important, action-oriented, is going on. I wouldn’t mind hearing some of the other books he has.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
While I don’t always like cliffhangers in my books, I’m interested enough in the story to want to read/listen to the next book. I’m hoping it’s as good as this one.
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed this story and Mr. Wehrlen does a very good job in narrating the story. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
