This was a really unusual introspection into the book industry (authors and bloggers alike) using steam and humour along the way. It was interesting because I could immediately identify with bloggers, signings and reading these kinds of books. I liked the unusual premise but I did struggle to connect to the characters somewhat, especially Michael/Christophe. It was a light read and I did feel that it build towards the latter part of the book more.

This is the first time I’ve listened to Joel Froomkin outside of historical reads and I really love his natural narration voice. He’s easy to listen to and helps you to fall into the story, especially one like this where I wasn’t overly engaged. I wasn’t always keen on some of the female characters through his voice but it is a challenge when there are a number of different female dialogues to portray. Overall, good narration.
