Plagued World continues the saga of Bear, Laurel, Mae, Trent, and the rest of the survivors living in this EMP affected world. With the loss of the clinic and most of the medications, especially antibiotics, Laurel finds it difficult to prevent deaths as their community experiences an outbreak of the plague, similar to that of the Middle Ages. The community struggles to prevent the spread of the disease but many have contracted the disease including Trent. Just when Laurel is feeling helpless, a supply of antibiotics is delivered by Gideon, Sharon, Lisa, and Kate. Kate has stolen the antibiotics from the Chicago gang, the Rossi’s. who find the community and plan to obtain their supply back with interest. This audio book by Grace Hamilton has twists, violence, and a difficult environment. It will keep your listening interest with it’s rapidly paced plot. I highly recommend it.
