It is the survival that matters.
The author victimizes the refugees, an easy out for the apocalypse, the author is clearly onboard with our xenophobia administration.

Good heroine in Grace, a capable young woman trained to survive an apocalypse event by her father, wish there had been more detail on that aspect of the story. I was glad to find that Grace cared and wanted to help others less prepared.

Good bad guy in Ray, a gamer who views the entire event as a virtual world for his pleasure.

There was little to no swearing, lots of gore and one mention of rape without details.

I love ZA stories, straight up apocalypse stories are all about the devolution of humankind and can be very depressing.

The reader was wonderful.
