Who was your favorite character and why?
Dev, the main character.

Dev is a hunter. Not a profession usually associated with intellect and curiosity, yet he possesses both in abundance. These qualities help him to adapt to the various situations he is exposed to throughout the book. They also allow him to accomplish everything that is required of him.

He is thoughtful and displays a range of emotions throughout the story. He is sometimes more of a ‘man’ than the human characters in the book.

Any additional comments?
This was a very enjoyable read.

The entire story flowed very well. I found myself interested in the story and did not have any issues staying that way. The book was ending before I realized how long I had been listening. I wanted more.

The characters are fleshed out sufficiently to be able to understand their motivations and actions in the story. Dev, the main character is the most complex. Given his importance to the story, this is appropriate. The actions of the characters are understandable based on the information about them that is presented in the book. It is not difficult to understand their motivations and decisions. I did disagree with some of their decisions, but that is based on my bias. The decisions make sense given their biases.

This book is not a romance, and yet feelings, including romantic ones, are part of the motivations in the story. A sense of family, community, and loyalty are all very important to this story. Ryan does a good job of using them to keep the story interesting and ‘believable.’

The narration by Andrew Tell was great. The best compliment I can give is that I was never distracted from the story by the narration! The narration and the story complemented each other well.

Overall this is a very good story with a great narration. I strongly recommend it. Very worth a credit.

Thanks Ryan for giving me the opportunity to read this book
