The end is not how I imagined it to end very love romantic story that has an interesting twist and end

it took almost the entire first book for me to feel engaged, and even then I didn’t feel super into it. I did finish it, but only because I paid for it. this is one of those that I’ll likely not reread. performance was solid, but the story was meh.

Action scenes are good. Overall story arc is good. And I like most of the characters. My problem is with the female lead, Laney. She is too whiny and makes too many stupid mistakes for me. I bought the wrong book on accident and now I’m so sad and this book is disturbing

I did not care for this book. Book two was the best out of the series.

I’ve listened to bad audio books and this has to be one of the worst ones. The plot was underwhelming. Unfortunately, I read so many positive reviews that I wasted a credit to give it a try. I didn’t love the book. It took me so many months to finish it. I just couldn’t stay interested in the storyline. I did like the female lead, but the male lead audio was not my favorite. I probably won’t continue the series.

I think Calista is slow. She doesn’t seem like she’s working with a full deck of cards. As for Haden, it’s just improbable for him to be such a successful lawyer, killer, and stalker when he spends all his time chasing after Calista and assaulting everyone who looks or talks to her. The story was disjointed and the heroine was an idiot. The hero wasn’t much better. The villains of the story were more interesting than the main characters. A very Un-Tijan like story. It was terrible.
