The FMC was annoying and sad.

Review from A Captive Situation →

I wanted to like it but the story was really stupid. It’s an Insta-love trope and they fall in love after like three days of knowing each other. It was really annoying. Sawyer, the FMC was written to be very, I don’t know immature and kind of pathetic in a way. She was just really..

Lacks redemption

Review from The Influencer →

I felt the main character lacked any redeeming qualities and I didn’t care at all what happened to her. Honestly I got so far into it I had to finish it. I like thrillers but I had no connection to any of the characters at all

Stick with it, it picks up.

Review from Once You’re Mine →

I thought the story dragged in the beginning and I didnt love the characters. maybe it was the narrators. specifically the male narration. it got better as the story progressed and things are revealed. Sort of a a Christian Grey like story.

not a huge fan of how it’s read

Review from Once You’re Mine →

In Calista’s chapters the female voice actor reads Hayden’s lines? Instead of the male voice actor reading his own characters lines? I prefer when they read all their own character lines even if it’s in the other voice actors chapter. great book tho. I just wish it was recorded differently

Annoying /Trashy

Dark and intense, but dragged at times

Review from Once You’re Mine →

The premise was strong—obsession, murder, and legal drama—but the pacing was slow, and I really struggled with the female lead. I don’t mind flawed characters, but I lose interest when the FMC outright lacks common sense and makes decisions that just don’t make sense. Hayden was intense but some of his dialogue came off as..
