Nick is masterful in telling stories about War and the absurdity of War. He’s funny, self-aware, and a very good writer. This book is between wars when Special Forces leave their element and have to find ways to live in the world. Very entertaining.

Warning about propaganda

Too much propaganda
Review from Aftermath 3 →

Review from Chasing Mr. Wright →
I liked this story. Low-angst love story that delivers a satisfying HEA. I listened to the audiobook. The narration didn’t quite match the characters, in my opinion, but it was only a distraction in the beginning. By the middle of the first chapter, I was too invested in the story to be bothered by it…
interesting and plausible
