I did listen through the whole trilogy, but it was not great. The writing was so-so, lots of little anachronisms and such but not terrible. Not vivid or compelling, either. I am a gamer and enjoy the litrpg books. I have tried convincing myself I could keep listening, because usually I can at least finish. But this was hard to get into.And the narrator, absolutely awful. It’s like grandpa is poorly reading about things he doesn’t understand. Tries to give each character a different voice..
I haven’t finished the book yet and I hardly ever write reviews but this book is AMAZING! The emotional impact. The philosophical overtones. It’s a great story AND it makes you think. Love it!

I could only make it up to chapter three, the misinformation about horse behavior and training not only makes me cringe but it could get someone seriously hurt. The author doesn’t know what he is talking about. For example, suggesting if you are ever on a bolting horse don’t pull to get them to slow..

Who am I kidding? if you are this deep into the series you know you’ll be buying this book anyways. Great progression on a massive book. Worth every penny and then some. I really do hope to see dom and crew more in the main series. 5 stars for laughter humor and good story giving..
