Its a great series, I’m 32 yro and have binge listened to every book in the series so far and can tell you its not a typical “YA novel” or run-of-the-mill LitRPG, there’s something here for everyone. If you can get past what you think is a trope or cliche, you’ll see that there’s more..
Ever since I finished reading Lovecraft’s original stories I’ve been voracious for more. Most of all, I wanted to come closer to that ultimate doom that he was leading to. There have been some fine expansions in which the great old ones are running amok on Earth but they never felt like true Lovecraftian stories…

Since listening to this book, I have decided that I too am one of the ignored. Very good book
I have finished The Summing and The Influence and loved them both. I struggled to finish The Town. I just felt like there was so much that did not add to the story.

I kept hoping the book would have a point, that it would get bette4……it just got worse. I have never quit a book beforr….but this one I did.

I generally like VR stories and well sci-fi and fantasy stories in general. I read the fire mage story first or whatever that one was which was pretty damn good too but this one is freaking awesome
this book is incredible I can’t wait for the next one! it hits a a level that really makes you feel the book!

I understand that to have a story of this nature, you need an antagonist, but can we agree that Alex has the ridiculous power-ups for no hardships and plot armor thicker than Jasons?
Note that this is not a standalone novel, you actually need to listen to parts 1-3 first. After part 3 (Evolution) I was a bit hesitant to continue, wondering if I were going to lose interest altogether, because Evolution was not as interesting as the previous two parts. However I am glad I continued on,..

With so many twist you may get dizzy trying to keep up. Does an amazing guy job at keeping the story moving and not feeling like it drags on and on. Can’t put it down.
