DNF 48% Repetitive and predictable. Boring, flat humor. Anticlimactic battles. I felt as though this book was written for a middle schooler with the B rated boring conversations. Also, what happened to the leveling system? That is my favorite part in any LitRPG and was basically forgotten here. Potions seemed to have taken over instead…

Great pacing, brilliant strategy and of course a ton of majestic chaos. A fantastic next entry into the series that I hope goes on for years.
No spoilers ahead So I’m not one to normally listen to side books but by what what going on during the end of book 2 I listened to 2.5 and you may have listened as well. If not you may be curious about things like the red glow of blood magic. In this book however..

I can’t wait to see what Jason and Finn get into next. I suspect trouble for any other in game avatars.
Consistent writing and good narration have made this entire series a pleasure to listen to.
I really love the AO series. Is the dialogue always on point? No. Is it the best series I’ve ever read? Again, no. But it is a truly enjoyable story and I like the way Travis Bagwell engages with philosophical notions of morality. I’m also enthralled with the world he’s creating. This installment continue to..
the book was amazing the cliff hanger in the last few sentences I have to get the next book.
