Nope. Nope. Nope. Not his best work by far. Too much going on. No real horror just a bunch of shenanigans that I could’ve lived my whole life and done without. Wouldn’t recommend.
McClusky was a great naval officer and leader, no doubt. But the author strives to make his points by being repetitive, thus coloring this biography amateurish. The audiobook isn’t helped by the narrator, whose insists on enunciating every word / stressing every syllable – very annoying.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. At first I was a little out off my the narrators voice but quickly got over that. The story was engaging and I found myself trying to find extra moments to continue listening so I could finish the book.
A must read for the citizen of the 21st century, living in the East or the West, under democracy or autocracy. Not pessimism and not optimistic, it is a logic analysis of the times in which we live. Great reading, intellectually stimulating, a reference for years to come!
