All characters suffer from continual clueless introspection and terminal vacillations but oddly turning playback speed up to 1.20 almost makes it tolerable. With that being said I can appreciate the authors technical skills. I know I couldn’t produce a product like this but I guess that’s not saying much.

The story is very intriguing and it looks to be developing, so I am going to give the next book a try. My biggest complaint is that while sneaking around in life threatening situations the characters are consistently snipping at each other. Sorry but even young, dumb and stupid doesn’t make these scenes work.
The story was okay, but it’d be better if it weren’t that 80% of it is just the author ignorantly complaining about charter schools and religion. Also the narrator’s voices for the characters are terrible
