Very good book! Worth the time would definitely recommend. Learned a lot about an interesting time and person in Aviation.

the start and the ending where good and promising, inner content is too recycled and dull, a cheap technique to keep audiance engaged, if you value your time proceed with caution.

I read this autobiography in the late 90’s. I was very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed it. Upon hearing of Yeager’s death I wanted to refresh the memory of what I had read. I enjoyed it as much this time as I did 20+ years ago. Incredible life.

As a new pilot, listening to General Yeager’s story is truly inspiring! Well written and easy to listen to with great stories of the legend’s life. You won’t be disappointed!

It had a slow start but it was good from start to finish, it felt a bit like a mass effect game wich is like aswell.

The pillow talk was boring and added nothing to the plot. Ruined an otherwise good book. Surprising from P T Deutermann. I used to anxiously await a new book from him, now not so much.

I really enjoy the work of this author but was disappointed with the excess verbiage in this one. The editors should have cut at least 30% from the book. It became even worse in audiobook format. The romance section was quite juvenile for these particular protagonists. The details of ASW were interesting and the characters..
