Rather than a real, cohesive plot, this is instead four tales of eldritch horror in a plot-like framework. It was still enjoyable, but I might not have bought it had I known.

I loved the historical aspects of the story in this as well as the author’s other books. The only thing I don’t care for is the incest themes – but otherwise very enjoyable.

TLDR: It’s an ok story but I feel like some other Litrpg’s did it better in some aspects. I recommend Video Game Plotline tester if you want a story about making money in VR, and Occultist if you want teen drama revenge story in VR. The Land or Life Reset if you want a more..

Slow start but worth the listen, narrator is good but the recording had me chasing with the volume. Worth the read, I’m 3/4’s the way through book 2 now, great story

Started off slow but finished with a bank, lots of bangs. I love my navy but the political guys can drive you crazy.

This is the best book I’ve listened hands down. I could not turn it off. What a life. What a story. Recommend to anyone
