At first, I felt distracted by the voice of the narrator as I felt it was too slow. I increased the speed to 1.2 and felt this was an ideal pace. The story is odd and really, that was what I was looking for. A great introductory story for the Halloween season.

Having been a fan of Aaron Elkins and his work for some time, I was delighted to run across this stand alone novel. well crafted and with a protagonist of the Elkins tradition, (Brains over brawn) I was not disappointed! bravo!

Fun premise, but surprising start. I was looking for a book to follow up the Play To Live series by D Rus and as I started listening to this series I was shocked to find the obvious similarities. The books is a fun read but it feels like someone took the Play To Live series..

I don’t know if I have just become an angry and/or cynical person, but this book had scenes that were extremely satisfying. well done!
This is a decent LitRPG book. A good perspective but pretty much exactly what you’d expect. The narration should be put on 1.2x just to sound normal. At that speed it’s a pretty good performance.
I dont know what the deal is with this performer. he sounded drunk he was so slow and slurring. the book was ok, did not like the ending.
I enjoyed it from start to finish, I really enjoyed the narration of the story!
Nothijg like Ready Player 1. Still a great book about gaming though. Read it now!!!
