I enjoyed this story very much but narration in some parts was cringe worthy. Overall it was good
Great story

Happiness tells many character stories. The avatar setup is different from others and fun to unravel.
i guess in a similar fashion this book surfs around the subject until you are tired of it. at some point i am tired of hearing about the village krushev is from.
Very detailed and engaging history of the battle. Contains new interpretations and analysis, including how the battle affected civilians and McClellan’s relationship with President Lincoln. Recommend for the serious historian.
This book doesn’t just teach history, it teaches the value of historical curiosity. Easily my favorite Parenti book, and my favorite book on Ancient Rome.
Epic battle. Character development. It’s all here. I’m glad I read all the books up to Hellion. The continuity in nuances add to the story telling.
I like a book that doesn’t take itself too seriously and this is one of them. Love the narrator too, his voice is definitely unique. I overall enjoyed the book although I’d wish that it went more in depth as far as the body horror and spookiness. But overall a fun listen!
